Walsall Council Now Facing High Court Judicial Review

Having made numerous requests pursuant to the Data Protection Act 1998 for her personal records Mrs Ann Edgar (79) was then ignored by the Chief Executive, only when formal complaints were made to the Information Commissioner and Local Government Ombudsman who subsequently chose not to investigate the complaints did he finally respond, he then refused to disclose the data, his excuse after 12 months of ignoring the formal requests were: "He didn't believe she really want to see them", naturally he was asked to produce the evidence to support his refusal but not surprisingly the Chief Executive then reverted back to ignoring matters.

Even when Mrs Edgar agreed to be filmed signing a formal document in the presence of a witness requesting her son to obtain the council's records the Chief Executive again refused, he also offered no evidence to support his refusal.

The information is required because it is believed that the late Mr. David Edgar senior was unlawfully neglected to death when Walsall Social Services forced Mr. Edgar senior into so-called care against his family wishes, they then for a period of two years prevented any contact by his family and friends, from covet video evidence obtained his eventual death was as a result of wanton abuse and neglect, if this wasn't enough they then proceeded with his funeral without informing his family or friends and to this day no one knows where the late Mr. David Edgar senior rests.

In view of this obvious "cover-up" Walsall council clearly do not want any damming evidence to become public therefore they and the their chums (Local Government Ombudsman and Information Commissioner) are now facing legal action in the High Court.
